Hey everyone,
I have been looking for a FJ Cruiser for some time time now, and have lurked on this site, but hadn't registered since I didn't have an FJ yet.
As of today, I am the new owner of a 2007 Voodoo Blue Cruiser and I am looking forward to meeting everyone in person.
A little back-ground info:
I am 45 years old, married, with a daughter that will be a senior in high school this September. We live in midtown phoenix. I recently sold my Yamaha Rhino and was looking for an off-road toy that I didn't have to tow, that was fun, which is how I found both the FJ and this site.
I knew that I was more interested in an FJ that already had some of the goodies, so for the last 4 months I have been going to auto trader and searching only for the FJ's that have winches. My theory was that it would show only those that had the most after-market products. Yesterday, I forgot to put in winch as my keyword and it just did the 25 mile search, well low and behold, Chapman Chevrolet has one with not a single after market product listed, but the pictures showed a complete different story. I called the dealer, which had no idea of the products on the vehicle since they had just purchased it at an auction and the salesman could only confirm what we could both see in the pictures. So, I went down there today and had a look. I also made a pact with myself that no matter what it had, I would show no reaction, since I also knew that I was going to have to leave several times to help beat down the price. I guess this worked since they dropped the price about $5000, they even knocked another grand off when they said they could go no lower, but I was getting nervous that he wasn't going to chase me, since I actually had made it out the door and almost to my car before he came out and gave his final offer.
Here's what it appears to have:
ARB front and rear bumper with (unknown) winch (without controller), (unknown) lights, CB Radio, (unknown) all-pro suspension with gas by-pass shocks, nerf bars, rock rails, full under carriage armor (except rear diff) built-in air-compressor (without any hoses or attachments), a differential lock switch inside (exact wording escapes me). Also the air filter looks after market (also looks strange since it looks like a water guard around it).
I am looking forward to one of you, with much more knowledge than me, to tell me what I actually have? I would post pictures, but I am having the dealer Align and fix a loose muffler, so I will pick it up Friday afternoon, but here the listing in which I found the car. I got them down to $24,000, but then ended up having the lojack installed, which added $500. Here are the pictures that I saw:

I look forward to any comments, I hope to make it too the Friday July 24th trail ride. I am just thrilled!
How far past Carefree hwy N is Table Mesa rd?
Thanks,
Jonathan Fitzgerald
P.S. I would like to keep the thing from getting dented......for at least a month is that is possible!

Looks like a good deal to me. From the pictures it appears you have IPF lights up front (nice) and an All-Pro rear bumper (also nice, and you can get a trailer hitch for that for $99 @ allprooffroad.com) Sounds like you have a locking rear diff., which means you have A-TRAC too! Well, you'll have it when you buy the $65 switch (All FJ's with a locking diff. already have A-TRAC, which is pretty much off road traction control. All you have to do is buy the switch from Toyota, remove the blank tab to the right of the diff switch, and plug in the A-TRAC switch, it's already wired!) About Table Mesa, its about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic, north of the Carefree HWY. You should be able to get away with out body damage (usually happens when someone is trying an avoidable obstacle), but you're pretty much guaranteed some form of Arizona pin stripes (just get a good wax before and/or after)

Welcome. Funny, I went from a Rhino to an FJ as well, my wife thought I was crazy, but it has worked out well.

With the rear kickouts, those look like all-pro rock rails as well. Good looking truck for what I think is a pretty fair price. I know they're just pictures, but this thing looks like someone threw a bunch of $$$ at it and forgot to take it off road! If that is the case, then you scored big time. There are some great parts on this truck....now it's time to use them.
Welcome. I look forward to seeing you on the trails!

Looks like you got my old FJ... you should probably call me. There are going to be a lot of jealous people when they find out.
If I'm right... you're going to be oddly surprised.
To check, look underneath and see if there's a blue transfer case.

Bellydoc,
It just so happens that I noticed a blue transfer case when I was looking under the vehicle. So what can you tell me about the vehicle? I am VERY interested in what you have to say. By any chance, do you have the hoses for the air-compressor or the controller for the winch that I could buy from you?

I was thinking that looked like Doc's FJ, but didn't think it was possible.
That's a helluva score.
edit to add: Table Mesa exit is after the New River exit, just north of Anthem. I know Anthem has 2 exits, then 1 for New River, so I'm guessing Table Mesa is the 4th after Carefree Hwy.

The compressor is for the front locker.....The winch controller is packed away with the jack in the back....it has 4.56 gears front and rear....a ridiculous transfer case.....chopped exhaust.....chopped frame.....spindle gussetts....upgraded steering rods.....
The list goes on and on....but everything about that rig is top notch and first class.....
